Center of Mass (COM)
The center of mass (COM) is the average position of all parts of a body, weighted by their mass.
The COM determines how forces are applied to your character.
Shifting it away from the default center can result in unusual or unintended movement behavior.

Methods to Offset COM
Gear Desync Method
- Desync your gear using the drop method (shown in the video)
- This shifts your COM dynamically
- Gear must have a mass!
Animation Method (Patched)
Previously, equipping a gear during certain animations would offset COM.
- On R6, the most common way to do this was:
- Open chat and type
/e dance 2 - Wait until your character reaches the furthest right offset
- Equip a gear that has mass.
- On R15, people would usually use UGC animations for this.
This method no longer works.
Reset Speed Method (Patched)
- Trigger an animation while your character is loading (gray state)
- This would offset COM during initialization
